About the Foundation

Founded in 2010, Semmes Murphey Foundation is an independent Tennessee nonprofit (EIN 38-3790195) affiliated with Semmes Murphey Clinic. Established to strengthen the Clinic’s leadership legacy, the Foundation is governed by an independent board. Working under a unified brand and shared purpose, the Foundation and Clinic collaborate to nurture innovation and excellence, turning strong clinical ideas into meaningful impact.

The Foundation is physician-led and supported by engaged community and industry champions. This structure ensures strong clinical alignment, sound financial oversight, and accountability. Day-to-day operations are managed by a small Foundation staff working in close partnership with Clinic physicians and administrative leadership.
